Aaron Thiara wins British Soap Award for Ravi Gulati in ‘EastEnders’

Actor Aaron Thiara has walked away with his first award as Ravi Gulati in BBC One soap, ‘EastEnders’.

The actor was named Villain of the Year at Saturday night’s British Soap Awards.

He joined the show as the son of the Panesar’s family friend, Ranveer. Viewers first met Ravi in an episode on 4th July as Phil made an enemy in prison and turned to fellow inmate Ravi for help. It quickly became apparent he has a connection to the Square as he asked Phil for information on Kheerat.

Thiara was also nominated for Best Newcomer but lost out to Channique Sterling-Brown (Dee-Dee Bailey) in ‘Coronation Street’.
