Aanand L Rai on Diana Penty – Mika Singh controversy

A few days ago, it was reported that Mika Singh had offended ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ star Diana Penty, by mimicking her surname.

Asked if this had caused any issues on the sets of ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’, filmmaker, Aanand L Rai said, “No, never. At times, humour for somebody can be a humiliation for someone else. I am very sure Mika would not have meant this but it is his sense of humour. It should not have been done. There wasn’t any kind of showdown or any disliking between them on the set. I feel it’s not of that sort. At times, you think it is humour but it goes the wrong way. It was not intentional but it shouldn’t have been done.”

Singh is behind the song ‘Gabru Single Hai’ featuring Penty.
