Aamna Sharif on replacing Hina Khan in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’

After much speculation over the actress replacing Komolika’s character in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, it was confirmed a few days ago that Aamna Sharif would take on the role, after Hina Khan’s exit.

Sharif who makes her appearance on the show in the coming days, returns to television after a sabbatical of six years.

Asked about comparisons being made to Khan, Sharif told India-Forums, “Comparisons are inevitable and surely it’s a huge responsibility as Hina has really performed wonderfully and I hope I can also do justice to this iconic character in my own way.”

Talking about playing a negative character for the first time in her career, Sharif said, “I don’t look at roles as positive or negative, they should be entertaining and challenging. When you get such a larger than life character to perform, it’s compelling enough to do it.”
