Aamna Sharif confirmed as new Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’

After months of rumours surrounding the character of Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, its now been confirmed that Aamna Sharif has been roped in to play the iconic antagonist role.

Sharif replaces Hina Khan, who left earlier this year, due to her filming projects. Sharif’s return to television, comes after a six-year hiatus. Sharif was previously the face of ‘Kahiin Toh Hoga’ back in the early 2000s.

Sharif confirmed the news to an outlet, saying, “The reason for the break was the need to reinvent my personal life. It would have been easy to stay in my comfort zone and come back with a love story, but that wouldn’t have satiated me as an actor. It’s always a different kind of rush to surprise your audience. So, when I was offered the role of Komolika, I instinctively knew that this is what will challenge me the most as an actor.”

Over the last few weeks, Gauhar Khan, Karishma Tanna and Aalisha Pawar’s names have been flying around to take on Komolika’s character.
