Aamir to sign Rs. 20 crore for ‘Dangal’ in Netflix deal?

With the world of Bollywood jumping on the digital bandwagon, Aamir Khan is going one step further. News has it that he has offered Netflix a sum of Rs. 20 crore for his film ‘Dangal’.

“The amount being offered is anywhere between Rs. 15 to Rs. 20 crore. Aamir is keen on signing the deal with Netflix,” Box Office Capsule reports a source revealing.

Khan has already sold the film’s satellite rights for 75 crore. The source went on to add, “Netflix wants to buy the rights of all films of Shah Rukh and Aamir which hit theatres from now on. This means that you will see the films of these two Khans first on Netflix and not on Sony/Star/Colors/Zee.”

Another Khan who has already connected with Netflix for his films is Shah Rukh Khan, who has signed a deal with the on-demand entertainment business starting with his Gauri Shinde directorial, ‘Dear Zindagi’.

Meanwhile, it was reported first on BizAsiaLive.com earlier this week that ‘Dangal’ will premiere on ZEE Cinema in May.
