Aamir recognised by 75th Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards
Aamir Khan has been honoured by the 75th Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards for his film ‘Dangal’ which has won Best Film. The awards recognise personalities across various fields of drama, music, literature and social service
Alongside Khan, IndiaTimes also reported other winners include Kapil Dev for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cricket and legendary actress Vyjayanthimala Bali for her achievements in Hindi cinema.
The awards are the namesake of the father of Lata Mangeshkar who he himself was a popular and well-loved theatre actor and classical musician and vocalist. They carry strong credibility and previous winners have included Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015).
Khan will receive the Vishesh Puraskar in the annual awards ceremony to be held on 24th April and organised by Master Dinanath Smruti Pratishthan and Hridayesh Arts.
