Aamir Khan’s ‘Vikram Vedha’ delayed due to ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’

Aamir Khan will be forced to delay work on his upcoming Hindi remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’ due to ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.

The coronavirus lockdown has been playing havoc on outstanding film and television projects, with the industry at a standstill. However, with lockdown measures being eased, filmmakers are now reviving their films and shows.

A source told Mid-Day, “Almost 40 per cent of Laal Singh Chaddha remains to be shot. Aamir is certain that he will not return to the set until the situation improves. He does not want to risk the safety of the cast and crew at any cost. In all likelihood, he will resume shooting only after October and is eyeing a Christmas 2021 release for the film. He has informed Neeraj Pandey, who is producing Vikram Vedha, that he will begin work on the thriller only after the release of Laal Singh Chadha.”

‘Vikram Vedha’, which will star Saif Ali Khan, is expected to go on the floors sometime in 2021, after the release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. ‘Vikram Vedha’ is a remake of a Tamil film of the same name.
