Revealed: Why Aamir Khan postponed ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ by one day

A day after the title logo and the first promo of ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ was launched, the look and name of Amitabh Bachchan’s character from the period adventure thriller was revealed.

However, both the promos mentioned that the film is now releasing on 8th November instead of 7th November, which was previously announced by the producers, reports DNA India. This is apparently due to Aamir Khan.

According to a trade source, “Aamir knows the business very well and it was he who suggested to the team to release the movie a day after Diwali. He’s well aware that the footfalls in the theaters drop considerably in the evenings on account of Lakshmi Puja. So, he strongly recommended deferring the release by a day to make sure the film gets the bumper opening it’s expected to take.”
