Aamir Khan was the first choice for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

The promo of Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has created a lot of excitement among Bollywood fans who are excited to see superstar Salman Khan back on the big screen. ��However, a lesser known fact is that Salman Khan was not the first choice for the movie and from Bollywood actors, it was actually Aamir Khan who was approached first.

The film’s producer confirmed the news to��IBTimes, saying, “The script work of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has been in place for the past 4-5 years. ��Rajnikanth sir, Allu Arjun, Puneet Rajkumar and Aamir Khan had heard the storyline. ��But they all turned down for various reasons… Finally, Kabir Khan narrated the story to Salman Khan, who happily gave green signal to the project.”

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ stars Salman Khan in the title role, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. ��It is the second time the actor is uniting with director Kabir Khan, post the success of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012).

The film is slated for release on July 17th.
