Aamir Khan to sing India’s National Anthem at Pro Kabaddi League
Superstar Aamir Khan is set to turn patriotic by singing India’s National Anthem at the launch of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Bombay Times reports that Khan gave into the requests of broadcaster, Star Sports, who will televise the event. He said, “Kabaddi is a purely Indian game, and I am happy to see the popularity it has been getting. Star Sports has been requesting me to sing the National Anthem since the first season and I am glad I finally managed to get the opportunity. It’s a real honour!”
No doubt, many would raise a few eyebrows after Khan was controversially dragged into the intolerance in India debate last year. At the time, Khan said he was ���alarmed� by a number of intolerance incidents and his wife Kiran Rao had even suggested leaving the country. Subsequently, his contract with Incredible India was not renewed.
