Aamir Khan & Rohit Shetty supporting Kalpana Lajmi through her ill health

Filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi has been battling a kidney ailment for quite some time now.�� Lajmi says that no one from the film industry has supported her through this except Aamir Khan and Rohit Shetty.

Speaking to Absolute India, Lajmi said, “When you work in the film industry, one should expect to not expect anything from them.�� None of the actors or producers I have worked with have called me.�� Only Aamir Khan and Rohit Shetty have called. I really don’t know Rohit but he has come forward to help me.”

Due to the high medical expenses and having been out of work for a while, Lajmi is struggling financially.�� Her mother takes care of her expenses and allegedly Aamir Khan and Rohit Shetty are also helping monetary wise.

Lajmi is known for having directed films such as ‘Rudaali’ (1993) and ‘Daman’ (2001).
