Aamir Khan resides in run-down hotel for ‘Peekay’

Rajkumar Hirani is working with Aamir Khan for the second time in the forthcoming ‘Peekay’. ‘3 Idiots’ (2009) is when they first came together and created nothing short of magic at the box office. However, BizAsia has learnt that such is the duo’s love for each other that Khan recently agreed to stay in a run-down hotel for Hirani.

Hirani’s direction took the team of ‘Peekay’ to a village in Rajasthan. Although is was an ideal shooting location for the kind of scene required, the only place to stay in the vicinity was a run-down hotel. Khan and his female co-star Anushka Sharma are of course used to being pampered and being put up in lavish hotels. Nonetheless, the production team is believed to have approached Khan to ask whether he would be willing to reside in such a place and, to everyone’s surprise, he immediately agreed. Sharma and the rest of the crew also agreed. Khan was quick to frankly admit that he would only do such a thing for Hirani.

Well, it certainly seems very sporting of actors of such calibre to let down their guard in this way. If anyone can then Hirani can.
