Katti Batti 2

Over the past few months, Aamir Khan has been making headlines for shedding tears. The actor was first seen crying at the screening of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), later going on to clarify that he found the second half of the film very emotional. It was then heard, as previously reported byBizAsia, that Khan also cried after watching ‘Katti Batti’. The actor has now opened up on why ‘Katti Batti’ made him cry.

Speaking toHindustan Times, Khan said, “It’s an extremely emotional and moving story about the beliefs one has in love and the extent to which one goes for those beliefs. It reminded me of moments from my own life. I am an obsessive kind of an emotional… I am a sucker for Mills & Boons stories. The film reminded me of moments that I have been through that were highly romantic, intense and obsessive.”

While the actor refused to comment further on which situations in his life he felt were reflected in the movie, he did defend his emotional side.

“Why should I hide what kind of a person I am… I am a highly emotional person and I’m not afraid to show it,” he added.

‘Katti Batti’ stars the actor’s nephew, Imran Khan, alongside Kangna Ranaut. The film has been directed by Nikhil Advani and releases this Friday, 18th September.
