Aamir Khan: “My dream project is to make the Mahabharat”

Whilst in Vadodara promoting his upcoming film, ‘Secret Superstar’, Aamir Khan shared his dreams about working on one of the great epics of India.

The Indian Express reveals that when filmmaker SS Rajamouli spoke about making a film on Mahabharat, Khan was reported saying that he would love to play the role of Karn or Krishan.

During the promotions of ‘Secret Superstar’, Khan told Filmfare said, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life.” He added “My favourite character is Karn, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishan. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishan why he had to kill his own people.”

Earlier, whilst praising SS Rajamouli’s work, Khan was quoted saying that, “I’m a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make Mahabharat, I’d love to play Krishan or Karn. I might actually go with Krishan.” He also mentioned that he’d like to work with south Indian superstars Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Rajinikanth.

Khan’s upcoming film ‘Secret Superstar’ which stars Zaira Wasim who played the role of young Geeta in ‘Dangal’ (2016) is slated to release on Diwali.
