Aamir Khan denies ‘sabotaging’ SRK’s film

With the promotions of ‘Happy New Year’ going beyond any other, it would seem that there wouldn’t be anything else to think about. However, when it was reported that Aamir Khan’s forthcoming film ‘PK’ will be presenting its promo during the SRK release, word spread that communication was kept to a minimum.

According to reports, Khan had gone straight to the exhibitors and discussed showing his trailers instead of talking to SRK who is also producing ‘Happy New Year’. However, Khan has put rumours to rest and stated that this is indeed not true. “It�۪s totally untrue. In the past, too, a lot of my trailers have been launched on Diwali ��� whether it was ‘Taare Zameen Par’ (2007), ‘Ghajini’ (2008) or ‘3 Idiots’ (2009). Even when Raju (Rajkumar Hirani; director) and I discussed it (the theatrical trailer�۪s launch date), we zeroed down on this festive launch,” Hindustan Times��reported the actor stating.

Both Khan’s have generally shared a good rapport with each other, despite many times being taken wrongly by the media when they each take a dig at one another. If anything, having Khan’s trailer launch during the ‘Happy New Year’ release may work in SRK’s favour, as everyone seems to be anticipating both films.
