Aamir Khan: “You can never predict how much business a film will make”

One of Hindi Cinema’s most distinguished production houses, Aamir Khan Productions has always done immensely well with their work at the box office.

With films like ‘Lagaan’ (2001), ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ (2008), ‘Delhi Belly’ (2011), and the most recent Indian wresting drama, ‘Dangal’ (2016), Aamir Khan Productions has been creating cinema for varied audiences by delivering films that hold a personal significance. With a philosophy is producing films that they “Believe In”, this production house has had a one hundred percent success rate since it started, 16 years ago.

DNA India reports Aamir Khan talking about business philosophy, “You can never predict how much business a film will make. You have to make what you believe and financially you try and make it on a budget so that you don’t lose money. That is what we try to do, as an actor or even as a production house, we try to make it (film) in a budget that doesn’t lose money hopefully. The extent of the business can never be in control of nor can we really predict that”.

This year’s Diwali will see the release of Aamir Khan Productions’ upcoming film ‘Secret Superstar’ (2017), starring Zaira Wasim with the directorial debut of Advait Chandan.
