Aamir Khan attacks Russell Peters over AIB controversy

Aamir Khan has attacked comedian Russell Peters over his take on the AIB Knockout controversy.

Khan’s opinion on the controversial show sparked uproar from other prominent individuals from the industry including Peters and Pooja Bhatt. Last month, Peters said, ���Seriously, who is he, the so-called artist, to say that he found it violent and that AIB and rest involved should have been responsible? He did not even see it! Someone please ask him to shut up and take care of his own business�۝.

In response to Peters telling Khan to “shut up”, Peters told a leading daily, “If two consenting adults wish to insult each other, that’s their problem. But you can’t go around attacking anyone you feel like. That is no different from the physical violence we see around us and object to. And when someone uses the words “shut up”, it makes me believe that these people are certainly not a part of the group that is for freedom of speech.”

Meanwhile, the actor accepted that he understands the level of insult and ��roast�۪ when someone has signed up for it willingly. However, his only objection had to do with the jokes made on people who primarily were nowhere associated with the Roast of Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.
