Aamir-Katrina prepare for acro-dancing in ‘Dhoom 3’

‘Dhoom 3’ is definitely a film��many are looking forward to. The film’s shoot is currently underway and BizAsia can reveal that the two leads, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, are not just going to be on par with the stunts. News has it that the pair are also learning the complex dance form known as acro-dance.

Acro-dancing is a form of dance which combines the classical with acrobatics and Kaif is all set to learn the moves in Mumbai. Khan, on the other hand, will be doing his part by learning acro-dance in Chicago. A choreographer spoke to Times of India about his experiences with the dance form and his take on Kaif’s attempt at it, “It’s not every heroine’s cup of tea at all. I once wanted one of our top heroines( who is also a fabulous dancer) to attempt acro-dancing.We practised for a fortnight and then gave up. Iss ladki ko mera salaam“.

A source close to the film also revealed, “Katrina will start with learning acrobatics and gymnastics suspended from a harness. This form of training for acro-dancing is really hard because it hones in on a dancer’s ability to maintain grace suspended in air… It’s a huge challenge”.

It is thought a renowned acrobat has been roped in to train both Kaif and Khan who will be undertaking their learning in and amongst their overall shoot commitments for ‘Dhoom 3’.
