Aamir-Imran to share screen space in Hirani’s next
After months of rumours, its finally been confirmed that Aamir Khan and nephew Imran Khan will be sharing screen space in Raju Hirani’s ‘Peekay’.
It’s the first time that the mama-bhanja will work together on screen. The film revolves around the exploitation of godmen in the country. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were favourite to play the second lead but were unhappy to be sidelined next to Aamir.
Unlike Hirani’s previous films where films have been based in Mumbai and Ladakh, ‘Peekay’ will be extensively shot in Hungary. Apparently, Hirani chose Hungary because filming there has its advantages, such as low labour cost and tax incentives for foreign filmmakers. Also, Hungary can pass off as any international city – Paris, Rome, London or even New York.
