Aaj Tak remains unchanged in Sky EPG reshuffle

Aaj Tak joins TVPlayer

India’s leading Hindi news channel, Aaj Tak has remained static in the Sky Digital EPG reshuffle, which came into effect today.

Most Asian channels in the ‘International’ genre of the Sky Digital EPG have been moved around to fill up unnecessary gaps and make way for new services. However, Aaj Tak is the only Asian channel in the ‘International’ category to remain put on channel number 818. Other services like ARY News (802), Geo Tez (816), Geo News (817) and SAMAA TV (832) have been moved.

While most of these services will need to promote their new channel numbers, Aaj Tak, alongside a handful of others like B4U Movies, B4U Music, ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, Zing, UMP Movies, Star TV channels and Venus TV, have been spared from the EPG reshuffle. However, BizAsia understands that Aaj Tak will soon launch a marketing campaign to boost its viewing figures in the UK. The channel remains the UK’s most watched Hindi news channel. In latest figures (week ending 10th August) Aaj Tak was the top Indian news channel.
