Aaj Tak fined Rs. 1 lakh for “fake tweets” in Sushant’s case
The National Broadcasting Standard Authority has fined Aaj Tak, Rs. 1 lakh for telecasting “fake tweets” related to Sushant Singh Rajput.
The Huffington Post reports that the authority has directed Aaj Tak, ZEE News, India TV and News 24 to air an apology over its coverage in the case.
The signed order was shared on Twitter by complainant, Saurav Das.

The report adds that Aaj Tak aired headlines such as “Sushant itne ashant kaise”, while ZEE News, had flashed “7 questions on Sushant’s death” while News 24 had used headlines like “Hey, why didn’t you watch your own film Sushant?”
He will be given the apology text that it will adhere to prior to broadcasting it within seven days.
