Aag TV all set for UK launch in August

Pakistani network Geo is all set to launch its youth entertainment and music channel Aag TV next month, the broadcaster has confirmed. The channel will be launching on Sky Digital. Aag TV commenced Now/Next EPG data testing yesterday off the Sky EPG. This suggests visual and audio testing is now only days away. After the successful launch of its news and entertainment channel Geo UK, Aag TV will be the second channel from the Geo camp. Also as revealed by BizAsia.co.uk first, Geo will also be launching Geo News early next year. With the new additions it does seem like Geo is building its bouquet of channels to give rival broadcaster ARY Digital a run for its money by packaging its channels in a similar way. The Pakistani TV sector will be further intensified with PTV Prime also looking at launching a new channel. Indus TV and Hum TV are also set to launch later this year. Aag TV will be launching on Sky Digital in August (date will be published here soon). The channel could launch on Monday 14th August to coincide with Pakistan’s Independence Day. Keep it here for more. Tests of Aag TV can be viewed in the following way: -> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu -> System Setup (4) -> Add Channels (4) -> Enter the frequency: 11.642 (V), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500 -> Find Channels and Press SELECT -> Highlight “50925” service and press Yellow button. -> Return to Services Menu -> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+ -> “50925” should be listed and available
