A1TV set to launch on Sky this month

An independent British Pakistani infotainment channel is set to launch on Sky later this month, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.

The channel christened as A1TV is helmed by Mubeen Rasheed, who was the founder of the first British Asian law conference and also the international media conference both in 2015. Rasheed’s career as a journalist brings equal pride to his name as a straight forward, dedicated man of nerves being qualified in 5 Masters Degrees in Social Sciences, M.A. Urdu, History, Pak. Studies, Mass Communication and Political Science other than a regular LLB and DLL. During his career, he has authored 4 books choosing on the most spoken current affairs themes by winning remarkable feedback at retailers including a latest etched on your mind travelogue on Great Britain ‘ShakhsperekeDeissey’.His expertise in both print and electronic media has helped him built the designation as Editor of a broadly circulated weekly newspaper of UK and Europe, ‘NaiBaat London’ and Bureau Chief of Neo TV UK & Europe. He has now set-up A1TV, which will focus primarily on British Asian news, with a set-up of four studios up and down the UK.

A1TV will also broadcast news and discussions shows from Pakistan. A1TV will broadcast 60-minute news bulletins every three hours starting at 06:00, followed by 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00 and midnight. As well as news shows, the channel has also lined-up a number of Hindi and Pakistani films. Dramas will air during peaktime at 20:00 and 22:00. It will air entertainment content from Play Entertainment, which includes ‘Dil Jalda’, ‘Hansty Gaal’ and ‘Baby Ki Kahani’.

We also bring local community news across UK and Europe with one of the biggest correspondents network ever. We will mix all this up with our entertainment shows including popular fictions and films.”

A1TV will launch on Friday 23rd March on Sky channel 869.

Tests of A1TV can be viewed on the following parameters on Sky:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.464 (H), FEC: 5/6, SR: 22000 / DVB-S / QPSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “54215″ service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> Click on “54215″ to view the channel
