Imtiaz Ali opens up about working with Shahid Kapoor again

Rumours have been abuzz over the past few months about filmmaker Imtiaz Ali reuniting with Shahid Kapoor for a new project after the super success of ‘Jab We Met’ back in 2007.

Ali was cited in The Asian Age saying that he never announced a film with Kapoor but was keen on working with Kapoor again. To fuel rumours further, Kapoor had said that he would start working on the film after his next ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. He then later retracted that by saying that the film is “not happening this year” and they might “probably work on something else.”

Ali has now said, “There will be more news like this because the fact is, I keep meeting actors and there is always going to be some speculation.”

“I never announced a film. I never said I am making a film. I never said I am working with Shahid Kapoor. So now when people ask me that the film is not happening, I reply, ‘Which film?’ I never said it. Jisne bola usko bolo (Talk to the person who spoke about it). There’s no truth to it,” the director said in a group interview.
