Ranbir Kapoor disagrees with Vidhu Vinod Chopra about his script choices

Ranbir Kapoor is back with a bang as he starred in the biggest hit of the year in ‘Sanju.’ In the blockbuster biopic, the talented actor played the role of Sanjay Dutt and people couldn’t stop lauding him for his incredible performance.

Before ‘Sanju,’ Kapoor had a string of not-so-hit films at the box office namely ‘Besharam’ (2013), ‘Roy’ (2015), ‘Bombay Velvet’ (2015), ‘Tamasha’ (2015) and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ (2017). The co-producer of ‘Sanju,’ Vidhu Vinod Chopra had said that Kapoor’s choice of films had been stupid, reports Pinkvilla.

During an interaction with Hindustan Times, when Kapoor was asked about Chopra’s statement, he stated, “I don’t agree with him (Chopra). That’s his point of view. I don’t regret (being a part of) any film that I have done (till date). Be it Bombay Velvet, Saawariya (2007) or Jagga Jasoos, they all came naturally from (within) me. So, they will always be a part of me. It’s like they are your children so yes, the successful ones are obviously there but it’s the failed ones that you will (always) be close to because you are always like, ‘why didn’t people love them?’ You always feel attached to them.”

He further said, “I had an incredible experience while working on these films. They have really added [a lot] to my growth as a person as well as an actor. But when it comes to work, there is constant insecurity and desire to do better. Actually, success and failure don’t matter that much to me because I know I still have opportunities [in my career].”

Currently, Kapoor is shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ in Bulgaria.
