Madhu Chopra denies any rift between Priyanka & Salman over ‘Bharat’

A week on after the news that Priyanka Chopra pulled out of ‘Bharat’ and her actions leaving Salman Khan upset have continued to dominate headlines. This time, it has been reported that Khan ignored Madhu Chopra at the Manish Malhotra fashion show.

According to Hindustan Times, Khan who was walking the ramp for Malhotra with Katrina Kaif as showstoppers, is said to have intentionally ignored the ‘Quantico’ stars mum when she went backstage to congratulate Malhotra. A source quoted on SpotBoyE shared details of what happened, “Madhu Chopra reached the venue at 9.30 pm and went backstage to congratulate Manish for his show. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were right there prepping for their impending walk. However, the moment the superstar saw Chopra approach, he turned away and began talking to the actress. In fact, even Katrina didn’t acknowledge her presence.”

But when asked about the rift between Khan and Chopra, Dr Chopra said she wasn’t aware of any fallout saying,  “I don’t know if Salman is upset or not, please ask him but yes Priyanka has exited Bharat.”

The ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017) actor’s father, Salim Khan also insisted there were no issues between the pair, “Nope, it’s not the nth hour. And I repeat, such things happen- sometimes they happen for date issues, or the role, or even the money aspect. Aur kabhi aadmi ki kuch apni majbooriyan hoti hai. I haven’t yet got into the details of why Priyanka left Bharat, but we shall soon cast someone else. We are not upset with Priyanka. Salman Khan is also not upset.”

Since Chopra’s departure from ‘Bharat’, Kaif has been chosen as her replacement.
