Box Office: ‘Sanju’ all set for China release

After gaining huge success in India, Fox Star Studios are now planning to take the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’ across the border over to China to collect some more.

“Many distributors in China have reached out to us. They have watched the film and there is a lot of interest in releasing it in the country. We are also looking at the muscle of Fox Star to plan and release the film in Japan, South Korea, etc,” Bollywood Life reported Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios explaining.

The Bollywood market is nearly as big in China as it is in India. With many other successful films having been released there, this is an obvious move from the film’s distributors. However, as Singh goes on to mention, it’s all about a film’s content that make things like this happen, “It is all about good writing. Star power helps but the golden rule is you need to have a fantastic script and get someone who can capture the imagination. The audience will not throw money just for the sake of it. They are a reminder that good films will be accepted,” he went on to add.
