Together TV to air season of British Asian shows in August

Together TV has announced a raft of new shows to mark a season of ‘British Asian Experience’ in August.

The channel will be celebrating the sense of fusion and inclusion of British and Asian worlds/traditions, with a wide range of TV series and documentaries. The line-up of shows include:

– Dangerous Game (UK TV Premiere): The film, featuring Calum Best and many others, was shown at Cannes Festival in 2017. It is produced by Amar Adatia, who decided to take the leap and produce his own films due to the lack of roles for British Asian actors in the film industry.

– 400 Years: Britain & India: Production house Image Nova, explores the roots of relationship that has lasted centuries.

– The Corner Shop Show (UK TV Premiere): From a YouTube successful channel to national broadcaster, this British comedy drama originally born for web is all set in a British corner shop and follows the adventures of a young British Asian guy who takes over his father business.
Weekdays at 14:00

– Humza Nike Parody AD (UK TV Premiere): If you wonder who the British Asian celebrities based in London are, look no further: you will find all of them together here! YouTube sensation Humza Arshad gives his version of the Nike advert ‘Nothing Beats a Londoner’ to highlight underrepresented minorities.
