Barun Sobti to play male lead in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ reboot?

After Erica Fernandes was confirmed as the female lead of ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, rumours are rife that Barun Sobti could be stepping into the role of Anurag Basu.

Rumours have been doing the rounds of a number of stars including Mohit Raina and Angad Bedi being lured for the part but they’ve denied the speculation. Earlier, Shaheer Sheikh’s name was also linked to the project but he is occupied with the TV remake of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’. The other name being chucked around is Ssharad Malhotra, who has just finished work on ‘Kasam’ on Colors.

Sobti starred in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3’ last, which underperformed in ratings on Star Plus.
