‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ writer Ravi Shankar Alok commits suicide

Ravi Shankar Alok, the screenplay writer and assistant director of ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ (2004) has passed away at the age of 32.

According to DNA India, Alok ended his life by jumping off from the roof a building in the Seven Bungalows area in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon.

The report adds that a guard from a building nearby found Alok in a pool of blood when he reached the accident spot. The Versova Police team were unable to find a suicide note. It is reported that Alok was dealing with depression for over a year, which could have resulted in his death.

The watchman reportedly said that the terrace of the building is usually accessible, so a question mark remains how he gained access to the area.

BizAsiaLive.com extends its condolences Alok’s family and friends.
