UK Ratings: New Vision TV shows rule weekly chart in news genre

Despite Geo News leading the South Asian news genre in consolidated UK ratings from BARB for week ending Sunday 17th June, it was shows from rival, New Vision TV that ruled the chart.

BizAsiaLive.com can reveal that ‘News’ on New Vision TV at 08:00 was the biggest show of the week in the news category. It was watched by 41,000 viewers, followed by ‘Off The Record’ at 07:15 on Friday with 36,000 viewers. ‘News’ update at 22:00 on Tuesday attracted 33,000 viewers and ‘Sports Room’ at midday on Friday pulled in 33,000 viewers.

Dunya News’ ‘News Bulletin’ on Monday and Tuesday were watched by 31,000 and 25,000 viewers respectively, also giving the channel a slight edge.

Geo News’ biggest show of the week was ‘News’ at midday on Friday with 24,000 viewers. ‘Aaj Shahzaib Khanzada Kay Saath’ on Wednesday at 22:30 also did well with 21,000 viewers.

Overall, Geo News led the South Asian news genre in the UK with a reach of 304,000 viewers, followed closely by New Vision TV with 303,000 viewers. Dunya News registered a reach of 257,000 viewers.
