Box Office: Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree’ & ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ to clash

Shraddha Kapoor will be facing herself at the box office in August if both her films ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and ‘Stree’ release on the same day.

According to reports, both films have been given a 31st August release date, which means the two will lock horns at the box office. A production insider from ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ told the publication, “August 31 was always our date. [After this release] Shahid will start working on Arjun Reddy, so that he can wrap up that film and be free before the arrival of his second baby. A meeting between the producers [of the two films] has to be conducted to ensure that the situation be sorted soon.”

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ also stars Shahid Kapoor, while ‘Stree’ has Rajkummar Rao playing Shraddha’s leading man.
