Box Office: ‘Carry On Jatta 2’ has historic first week

Punjabi comedy caper ‘Carry On Jatta 2’ smashed all box office records in the Punjabi film industry by crossing the Rs. 15 crore nett mark.

The film’s gross collections have already whizzed passed the Rs. 20 crore mark, making it the biggest ever hit in Punjabi cinema, according to Box Office India.

Prior to this, ‘Sardaarji’ starring Diljit Dosanjh, which released in 2015, held on to the crown as the biggest Punjabi film ever. After three years, ‘Carry On Jatta 2’ has overtaken it and is looking likely to do twice the business of ‘Sardaarji’.
