Overnights: Star Plus’ share drops to record low on Sunday in UK

Star Plus stooped to an all-time low share on Sunday, owing to a weak programming schedule compared to its rivals, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The channel, which only had 1.5 hours of original programming for the entire day, delivered a paltry 0.03% – falling behind all major broadcasters. In comparison, to around 6 hours on Hum TV, 4.5 hours on ZEE TV, 3.5 hours on Colors and 2.5 hours on Sony TV.

Star Plus’ ‘Khichdi’ at 20:00 fetched 6,100 viewers, followed by ‘Star Talk With Vinay’ at 21:00 with 3,800 viewers. Movie ‘Neerja’ at 21:30 pulled in 5,300 viewers and did better than the repeat premiere of ‘Raid’ at 13:30 with under 1,000 viewers.

Hum TV was the No.1 Asian TV broadcaster on Sunday with a whopping share of 0.16%. ‘Adhan-e-Isha’ at 22:30 pulled in 66,800 viewers, followed by ‘Rehai’ at 21:30 with 60,600 viewers and ‘Mr Shamim’ at 19:00 with 49,300 viewers.

ZEE Cinema did well with a share of 0.12% with ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ at 10:30 attracting 24,400 viewers, followed by ‘Baazigar’ at 14:30 with 20,400 viewers.

ZEE TV also registered a bigger share than usual with 0.07%. Colors delivered a share of 0.06%, followed by Sony TV and Star Bharat with 0.04%.
