Hrithik Roshan faces criticism for #HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge

Hrithik Roshan is facing criticism for posting a video of him unsafely biking on the streets of Mumbai.

The video was posted in response to a fitness challenge posted by Rajyavardhan Rathore, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs. “#HumFitTohIndiaFit Post pictures and videos of how you keep yourself fit and send a #FitnessChallenge to your friends on social media. Here’s my video and I challenge @iHrithik, @imVkohli & @NSaina to join in.” Rathore posted on Twitter.

“This initiative makes me so proud! Bravo @Ra_THORe #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge this is how I commute to my office every day. Sitting static in a car is such a waste. Walk, cycle, jog, feel the earth, feel India get FIT!” Roshan shared, along with a video he took while biking through the city without a helmet. However, Roshan’s intentions to motivate his followers fell flat, as Twitter users called the actor irresponsible for using his phone on the road and for not wearing proper safety gear. A few users even informed Mumbai Police about the traffic violations.

Roshan has nominated Tiger Shroff, Kunal Kapoor and his parents Rakesh and Pinkie Roshan for the #HumFitTohIndiaFit fitness challenge. Anushka Sharma, P V Sindhu, Suresh Raina, Randeep Hooda have also been involved in the initiative, among others.
