Kareena Kapoor Khan doesn’t believe in film promotions

With Bollywood films finding innovative ways of promoting their films, Kareena Kapoor Khan is one actress that doesn’t believe in film promotions.

At the press conference of her latest release ‘Veere Di Wedding’, Khan was cited in Hindustan Times saying, “I don’t believe in it. I feel a promo (trailer) of a movie does everything. When you see a trailer you decide whether you want to watch a film or not. So no matter how much I talk or what I say, it’s not going to change your opinon.”

She went on to add, “And most of the times (on promotional tours) we’re not talking about the movie; we’re talking about a hundred things. That bores me, because I don’t enjoy talking about my life or giving interviews. I am a bit private about a lot of things and I like it that way. I’m not out there.”

Venturing into different kinds of films, the Kapoor Khan has ensured to keep her filmography varied. When asked about this, she explained, “Yes, otherwise I wouldn’t have done films like’ Ki and Ka’ (2016) and ‘Udta Punjab’ (2016). I was happy to play a woman five years older than Arjun (Kapoor), as I really am. I’ll always try to choose films that are different from each other.”

“Because being a mainstream commercial actor, you’re always like, ‘What is my part, and what am I doing?’ So it’s a different experience for a mainstream actor to be a part of this kind of a film/ Rhea (Kapoor) was like, ‘I don’t think Kareena will do the film’. Later, I asked her why she thought I wouldn’t do it,” the actress went on to say.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ also stars Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
