&TV UK to air old ZEE TV shows to ramp up ratings

In a strategy, which seems to be working well for rival channels like Star Plus UK and Rishtey, &TV UK will become the first main GEC to repeat old ZEE TV shows during prime time.

From Monday 14th May, &TV UK will tweak its weekday schedule, with a number of classic ZEE TV shows being brought back to ramp up ratings. The most significant change will be the re-run of ‘Qubool Hai’, which previously ran on ZEE TV for around for years from 2012. It will take the 19:30 slot. Another popular show ‘Jodha Akbar’, which aired on ZEE TV in 2013, will take the 22:00 slot on &TV.

As well as these shows, &TV UK will also re-run old shows from the channel’s library including ‘Tere Bina’ at 14:00 and ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ at 14:30. ‘Qubool Hai’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’ repeats will run between 13:00 – 14:00. The move follows, a successful re-run pattern of old shows on Star Plus UK. Whether it replicates the same success for &TV, remains to be seen.
