Shreya Ghoshal Week: Best live performances in UK

The legendary and much-loved Shreya Ghoshal has performed in the UK a number of times but she still manages to pack out arenas each year. During BizAsiaLive.com ’s Shreya Ghoshal Week, in the run upto her 2018 tour, we look at a handful of her most loved live performances in the UK.

During the 2013 tour, Ghoshal performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time and the location couldn’t have been better for the melodious voice she has. A highlight from that concert was the 100 years of Indian cinema she sang, which was a melody of popular songs from the 100 years. She sang classics like Lag Jaa Gale to modern favourites like Radha.

In the 2014 concert at the Royal Albert Hall, Ghoshal paid tribute so some of the music greats of Bollywood including Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar. This was a particular treat for the audiences who listened to a new-age singer performing to absolute classics which will be etched on Indian cinema forever.

When Ghoshal graced the Eventim Apollo stage in 2016, she entered the stage on Deewani Mastani from 2015’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which is easily one of her biggest tracks in recent times. She followed this up by other biggies including Sunn Raha Hai and Teri Meri Prem Kahaani.

Overall, seeing Ghoshal live is always a pleasure and she definitely leaves you wanting more. This time round she will no doubt still include her classics like Piyu Bole, Chikni Chameli and Manwa Laage to name a few.
