Saroj Khan apologises for comments made about casting couch

There was huge outrage when Saroj Khan made comments about the issue around the casting couch and giving the impression that she was condoning it. Now the award winning choreographer has come out and apologised for the comment stating it was taken out of context.

“I have already said I am sorry. But you don’t know the question that was asked… And now there’s so much ruckus,” reports Hindustan Times Khan expressing.

In the midst of the #MeToo campaign that raises awareness of sexual assault in major industries, Khan spoke of how this is something that has been happening for years. Though being a true statement, it was when she added that at least it gave women work.

Giving off the impression that she felt as though the situation was okay there had been many that spoke out against the choreographer.

Here’s hoping she’ll be a little more careful in commenting on sensitive issues.
