John Abraham turns down ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’?

John Abraham who had been approached by the makers of ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ (RAW), has apparently decided to turn down the role.

As reported by TOI, Abraham’s reason for not doing the film is because he felt the storyline was too similar to Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Raazi’. After watching the trailer, this confirmed his thoughts and the ‘Force 2’ (2016) actor said ‘RAW’ would be from a man’s perspective instead.

One source said that the ‘RAW’ team wanted to alter the script, but Abraham wasn’t convinced that it would make any difference, so politely declined.

However another source who got in contact with the film makers said they gave a different reason behind the decision. The ‘RAW’ team said the film was on hold for now, as they initially had a budget of Rs 40-45 crore, and later felt the recovery cost would be too high, as well as Abraham being offered Rs 11 crore as his remuneration package. If the film is to be made in the future, then it will be made with a much bigger star.
