Amazon Prime Music launches in India

Amazon has launched its Prime Music service in India today.

While the service has been available for nearly two years, it was propelling its music output. Recently, Amazon has signed up deals with some of the biggest record labels in India including Sony Music and ZEE Music Company.

Subscribers of Amazon can now access the Prime Music service via its website and apps for iOS and Android. It is priced at Rs. 999 annually, which is relatively cheaper than its competitors including Apple Music and Google Play Music.

Prior to its launch, Amazon Prime Music was limited to Amazon Echo.
