Rajkumar Santoshi shuns heart ailment reports

Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi has confirmed that he is well and has no heart ailment, contrary to media reports. He has however been admitted to hospital for a routine check-up.

The New Indian Express reports Santoshi saying, “I am well and have no heart ailment. I had gone to Nanavati Hospital for a routine check-up. Thank you for your concern. I value it.”

Santoshi has reportedly been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday evening, and will be under observation until Saturday morning. He is there for routine tests, his spokesperson told IANS.

Santoshi is renowned for making films like ‘Ghayal’ (1990), ‘Damini’ (1993), ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994), ‘Ghatak’ (1996), ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ (2002) and ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ (2013).
