Papon in trouble after getting caught kissing child on Facebook live

Singer-musician Papon has been slammed for kissing a minor live on Facebook.

NDTV reports that he has been charged with “inappropriately kissing” the young girl during a Facebook live session on the sets of a reality TV show. He is seen applying colour to her face and giving her a kiss on her lips, leaving her surprised by the move. It follows with Papon telling the person filming to switch off the live session. The incident took place on Tuesday evening via his Facebook page.

Supreme Court lawyer Runa Bhuyan has gone on to say that Papon has “committed sexual assault”. She has now filed a complaint with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights against the singer under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.

She said, “I am shocked to see the behaviour of the said singer Angarag Papon Mahanta towards a minor girl where he is seen to be applying colors on a minor girl and inappropriately kissing the said girl. On seeing the video, I am seriously concerned regarding the safety and security of minor girl participating in reality shows across India.”
