Zain Imam: “BCL helps me keep fit”

Zain Imam, who is playing for Lucknow Nawabs in Ekta Kapoor and Anand Mishra’s MTV BCL, says that he loves being part of the tournament. The actor adds that the matches also help him be in shape. “I wanted to feel the MTV BCL air around. Also, it’s a way of keeping your body fit by playing, which we hardly get time for,” he says.

He adds, “I have been part of MTV earlier and I am very well aware that a lot of youth are going to be hooked on to this.”

The actor admits that some adjustment needs to be done to take out time for BCL. “We need to check with the production houses of our shows, for date adjustments for projects like these and fight for that. But everyone is very understanding,” he says.

The actor has always had a special place for sports in his heart. “I have been a sportsperson during my school and college days. This is why I was so excited to be part of BCL,” he says.

Talking about his aim in the tournament, Zain says, “The main task and responsibility is to keep the opponents score low by good bowling and fielding. I feel Mumbai Tigers are our biggest competition in the tournament,” he says.
