‘Naagin 3’ to switch from Colors to Star Plus?

The upcoming third season of the popular show ‘Naagin’ has apparently been acquired by Star Plus, instead of Colors where the first two seasons were broadcast.

According to Spotboye, a source said, “Naagin is an interesting series and has helped Colors in terms of cementing its position as one of the top channels. However, Star Plus bid higher for the third season and therefore managed to clinch the supernatural show”.

The third season will not feature Mouni Roy who has played lead in the first few seasons. Rumours about the new actress taking on the role have put a few names in the mix including Surbhi Jyoti and Karishma Tanna. The source went on the add, “Star is planning to revamp the channel and wants to include a number of fiction shows. Goes without saying, Naagin 3 is a great catch and they bid such a price that it closed doors for Colors.”

Interestingly, Colors have been airing the teaser of ‘Naagin 3’, showcasing that the show will be aired on their channel.
