Vinod Kumar on ‘Kaala’ leak: “It will not affect the film in any way”

When news had it that 15 seconds of Rajnikanth’s next film ‘Kaala’ had got leaked, there was much talk as to how much damage it would do to the film. However, executive producer Vinod Kumar has revealed it will not impact it at all.

“It’s just a few seconds of footage and not even the climax scene as is being claimed in many places. It will not affect the film in any way.” Ahmedabad Mirror reports the producer stating.

‘Kaala’ is said to be set in the 80s, which revolves around a man who becomes the don of Dharavi after moving to Mumbai from Tirunelveli. The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani.

Marking her debut in the Tamil film industry, Qureshi revealed how appaled she was with the leak. “It’s so unfair given the hard work everyone puts into a film. Piracy is toxic and I hope the necessary action is taken,” she expressed.

Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film is set for release on 27th April 2018.
