Manoj Bajpayee thankful for performance-oriented roles

Manoj Bajpayee has always stood out with his stellar performances, even in a all-star ensemble. He is a director’s favorite, and Bajpayee admits that he has been lucky to get performance oriented roles, and is happy that his fans wait for his movies.

Deccan Chronicle reports Bajpayee saying, “God has been very kind to me, and I’ve gotten performance-oriented roles. I must thank directors like Ram Gopal Varma, Prakash Jha, Neeraj Pandey and Anurag Kashyap, who believed in me and could see me in different roles. To this day, the director’s trust in me is like a chance to be able to give my best in these roles and keep my fans happy. I agree that it’s because of my fans that I’m here. There are few who wait for my movies and watch it in theatres.”

Bajpayee did add that while actors are easily available now, especially with social media, there will still be curiosity. He said, “Stars now are easily available. They’re seen all over, with interaction on their social media too. But still, the interest to know more about their favorite star will remain. Stardom goes on.”

Bajpayee will next be seen in ‘Aiyaary’ with Sidharth Malhotra, slated to release on 9th February.
