Box Office: ‘Padmaavat’ release preponed to 24th January?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film ‘Padmaavat’ has reportedly been preponed from 25th January to 24th January 2018 to avoid a direct clash with ‘Padman’, which also releases on 25th January 2018.

Mid-Day reports that ‘Padmaavat’ will have paid previews across India theatres on 24th January 2018 night.

Manoj Desai, owner of a multiplex in Mumbai told the publication, “While PadMan releases on 25th January, Padmaavat will release the night before. The distributors of Padmaavat are likely to release reimburse the film that is scheduled for the 9.30 pm show that day and screen the magnum opus instead. There will be only one paid preview. This will happen not just in my theatres but across India.”

‘Padmaavat’ stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
