The show, which aired on BBC Two in the UK last year, is based on the novel by journalist Sathnam Sanghera and his childhood as a second-generation Indian in Britain.

“It is a powerful drama which explores the complexities of relationships and will surely strike a chord with the Indian audience,” said Aparna Bhosle, business cluster head for premium and FTA GEC channels‎ at ZEEEntertainment Enterprises.
