Fire forces Times Now to go off-air

English news channel, Times Now, along with other Times Network services have been forced to go off-air after a huge fire at their building in Mumbai.

The Kamla Mills Compound in Mumbai, which houses not just the television channels but also more than three dozen high-end restaurants and pubs, has resulted in the death of 15 people and 21 others getting hurt.

While some of the channels have resumed broadcasting in India, the international beam including UK/Europe still remains off-air. In the UK, Times Now is available on Sky channel 576. Times Network channels Movies Now, Movies Now HD, MNX HD, MN+ HD, MNX, Romedy Now, Romedy Now HD and Zoom are still not broadcasting due to severe damage to its infrastructure.

MK Anand, MD and CEO, Times Network, said, “Our heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their near and dear ones last night. We have been extremely fortunate that no lives were lost from Times Network although the fire did affect our premises. We have been able to put our News channels back on air. We are trying to put the remaining channels on by noon.”
